Guidelines for developing national classification of study programmes prepared

Another mission under the Component I Selected National Standards are aligned to include a competence-based focus of the Twinning project was implemented from 22 to 26 April 2019.

The mission was implemented by Gintautas Jakštas, who heads Higher Education Policy and Career Analysis Unit at Research and Higher Education Monitoring and Analysis Centre of Lithuania, was on a mission to the Ministry of Education, under the Activity 1.6 Provide recommendations for improvement of methodology for developing national classifications of programmes in higher education.

The objective of the mission was to suggest a methodology/guidelines for developing national classification of study programmes for master level of higher education studies.

During the mission week the Lithuanian expert reviewed the national classification of study programmes for bachelor level of Azerbaijan which has been recently approved. He also delivered workshops for the staff of the Science, Higher and Secondary Professional Education Department, as well relevant people from other departments of the Ministry of Education to share European and Lithuanian experience in designing the classification of study programmess for bachelor and master levels. 

At the end of the mission Mr. Jakštas presented his mission report and the guidelines for developing national classification of study programmes for master level.
