The Twinning project hosted the first
mission under the Component 2 Pilot Study
Programmes in Priority Areas are Improved to be More Student-Centred from 1 to 5 April 2019.
The mission under the Activity 2.4 Develop a methodological compendium on how
learning outcomes are identified and designed, which will guide people
responsible for development and review of programme in implementing a
student-centred approach was
implemented by short-term expert Inga Juknytė-Petreikienė,
a higher education expert at the Lithuania-based European Social Fund Agency.
The objective of the mission was to support
the transformation of current national study programmes in selected areas from
discipline-oriented towards competence-oriented and student-centered ones.
During the misson week workshops were
organized at pilot universities (Baku
State University, Azerbaijan Sate Pedagogical University and Azerbaijan Oil and
Industry University) for the academic staff who
contributed to development of study programmes which have been selected as
pilots by the Twinning Project. The workshops focused on identifiying levels
for writing learning outcomes (based on AZQF), presenting best European
practices on learning outcomes identification and design and aligning of
learning outcomes with the programme/module/course activities.
At the end of each workshop the members
of academic staff of pilot universities were asked to write learning outcomes
for the competenes which have been listed in a new version of study programmes
in priority areas developed by the Twinning experts in line with the best
European practice.
The
learing outcomes to be written by academic staff of the pilot universities for
the new version of study programmes are planned to be further dicussed with the
Twinning experts during the upcoming missions and incorporated into the new
study programmes.
