The second mission under the Activity 2.4 Improve study programmes in the

and International Relations at the same university and also Ms. Tatjana
Koke, Vice Rector for Studies at Riga Stradins University.
The aim of the mission was to

The experts met with directors of a
number of secondary schools functioning in Baku to ask their opinion as
employers about which competences held by foreign language teachers need to be
improved and which competences are needed to be developed.
A meeting with heads of relevant chairs and
teaching staff from universities which offer Foreign Language Teacher
programmes was also held. The experts collected their opinion and suggestions
to take into consideration in designing a new version of the above-said study
programme.
As a result of the mission, the
experts drafted a new version of the study programme in Foreign Language
teacher and discussed it with representatives of the Higher Education
Department of the Ministry of Education. The document is also planned to be
sent out to relevant universities for a further review.
